Witness to Change - Community Conversations on Coastal Impacts

6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
South Slidell Branch

Description

Join us for a discussion of Paolo Bacigalupi’s thriller, The Water Knife. Angel Velasquez, a “water knife” working for the state of Nevada tries to infiltrate and destroy Arizona’s water supply and investigate rumors of senior legal rights to water from the Colorado River.

Witness to Change is an ongoing series, taking place at four different locations across St. Tammany Parish:

  • Monday, March 27, 6 p.m.: The Water Knife at South Slidell
  • Monday, April 25, 6 p.m.: Bayou Farewell at Slidell

Whether you’re a scientist, a policymaker, a student, an activist, or a concerned citizen, this discussion will provide a platform to consider the effects of climate change on coastal communities and how we can work together to create a more just and equitable future. We look forward to seeing you there!
