Diana Ross & Audra McDonald should be ashamed of themselves to continue to exploit for profit and discredit one of the greatest Jazz female innovators of the 20th century.
The Scream by Joahn Hari is an excellent read on how she was targeted for destruction by the authorities and used as an example because of one song--she refused to stop singing. Billie was the first to sing against Lynching--she paid the price for that heroism with her career and life. It is time for Black female artists to depicit her entrapment and destruction--not induced addiction.
