We didn't care for this book at all. They took Japanese culture and wrapped it around Goldilocks that was thrown in the ocean. The way the words were done made for clumsy reading. The story was very hard to follow, because the pictures were so overwhelmingly cluttered you couldn't tell what was what. We spent several minutes on the page with the chairs and three people trying to find the chairs. That's not really enjoyable.

Great re-telling of Goldilocks! Brett is a treasure and this books proves it! As usual the detail is stunning! And instead of Hedgie the Hedgehog, it's Puffy the Fish!

This is a fantastic book re-telling the story of Golidie Locks and the Three Bears using a little mermaid and octopus family instead. The illustrations are mesmerizing! My 5 year old was a huge fan!

Very cool retelling of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears, under the water, in a Japanese-type setting. As always, Jan Brett's illustrations are gorgeous and fully detailed. My 3-year-old son liked this and I liked reading it, too ;)
