Cute movie, excellent messages and life lessons for young people. 3of5stars. However, had some boring lulls. "Incroyable" that the lead actress/orphan could transform from klutz to French Opera House star graceful ballerina, *and* learn the choreography so quickly. The inventor orphan boy Victor was the best part. Kate McKinnon and Mel Brooks do amazing voices. 3 warnings- 1. The 2nd two of the 3 DVD Bonuses are in French audio by default so you have to hit Subtitle/Caption on your remote. 2. Produced in part by 'The Weinstein Companies,' and I saw *Bob* Weinstein in the credits 2017, but I'm pretty sure HARVEY was *not* part of the crew, and 3. Movie Goof at 0m58s in!, the scene where Felicie says You're not my Mom: a gifted box of red or orange ballet shoes disappears from the kitchen table! :) See also: Titanic, Annie, The Karate Kid, Eliza Doolittle.. :)

I love this movie it was very motivating as well! I would totally advise you to watch this movie, and it had great music!

Disappointed. I expected a movie about ballet would have classical music. The only classical music I heard was a snippet of Swan Lake in one short scene. The rest was modern pop music. The Statue of Liberty was also inaccurate. It was bronze when it was first built, then turned green overtime. And the dialogue was completely modernized, using words we use today.

The movie is great for kids, not so much adults. Animation was good and the theme behind the plot--never giving up on your dreams--was a good life lesson. Just wish the movie was accurate to its time, so the kids could also be given a CORRECT history lesson.

As far as animation goes this one was not too bad. However, the overall pacing was too quick for my liking, and the characters and dialogue ridiculous. I did not enjoy it.

They had a lot of potential with this one, but it did not amount to much at all.

A pretty movie that suffers a bit from being rather predictable. While kids will thoroughly enjoy this movie, parents will realize quite quickly that they've seen this movie before.

Cute movie though filled with plot holes. Rather like The Karate Kid except with ballet.

The disc I borrowed made my DVD player on my laptop make a lot of noise. I couldn't watch the movie let alone enjoy (if it is any good).
