"Why do we remember the past and not the future? What does it mean for time to "flow"? Do we exist in time or does time exist in us? In lyric, accessible prose, Carlo Rovelli invites us to consider questions about the nature of time that continue to puzzle physicists and philosophers alike"-- Provided by publisher.

I just finished the audiobook version, then listened again as the ideas he presents are novel, entertaining and fascinating, I wish we had more audiobooks of this calibre in our ORL.

To make it even more enjoyable, the narrators voice is so "listenable". He reads evenly with lovely elocution.

A must read for those interested in their own inner being.

A well thought out and interesting perspective on well known and accepted concepts of time. Such as the consideration of the limits of mental awareness vs the speed of light to define a realm of indistinguishable instantaneous "now". spoiler alert: it's the size of the earth. Many more interesting ways of looking at time. Great although sometimes laborious analogies to help you wrap your head around these novel ways of looking at time. No previous experience necessary, but an understanding and belief in special relativity will help. Overall great work. Can't wait to check out more from this author.

Rovelli is a brilliant physicist, working at the extreme cutting edge of contemporary science--quantum-gravity theory. He is also a magician. This book pretty much demolishes everything we think we know about time, yet the author magically guides the reader through the most difficult realms of physics and philosophy as easily as if we were reading a storybook. A breathtaking read.
