Magical on many levels...Will Smith is brilliant.

Better than I expected! I was honestly prepared to hate it after Will Smith ruined Deadshot for me in Suicide Squad. I thought his singing was a bit too held back during "A Friend Like Me", but it got better with "Prince Ali". (I figured he was just doing what the director wanted.)

Good acting, interesting action choreography, and gorgeous costumes.

Guy Ritchie's life-action remake of its 1992 animated film with Robin Willams. Mena Massoud as Aladdin is great singing, dancing, and stunting in the first half before Will Smith as Genie takes over the show with his CGI'ed entertaining act. To lively up the rest of the film, Aladdin's pet Abu performed its kleptomaniac deeds along with a spectacular parade of Prince Ali's entourage. Thoroughly entertaining fairy tale for all in the family.

I was very pleasantly surprised at how entertaining this was. My husband and I both loved it (and we know the original with Robin Williams quite well). The color was spectacular and the actors playing both Ali/Alladin and Jasmine were wonderful. The actor playing Jafar was disappointing, he just didn't project evil very well. And if you put Robin Williams' portrayal of the genie aside, Will Smith puts his own very admirable spin on the character of the genie.

I was disappointed with the Disney live action remakes of Dumbo and Lion King, this one I thought faired pretty well considering some series big shoes to fill.

Pretty good, songs are mostly OK ,Jafar is definetly more scary or disturbing. It is a good way to spend a quiet evening

Any scene with Will Smith is great, drags when he’s not there. New songs are nothing special, not catchy or memorable. Not a fan of the color scheme or set designs, seemed it couldn’t decide if it was a stage production or a CG fest.

2019. Rated G....Family.... A well done, live action rendition of the animated Aladdin. Very good. Great music, story and dancing. Will Smith was excellent as Genie. I really liked it.

50 quotes in IMDb already, thanks to contributors. The Genie's song caught me by surprise and did not get the lyrics the first time:

Uh-oh! Watch out!
You done wound me up.
'Bout to show you
what I'm working with. Uh!
Well, Ali Baba
He had them 40 thieves
Scheherazade
Had a thousand tales
But, master, you're in luck
Because up your sleeves
You got a brand of magic
Never fails
You got some power
In your corner now
Heavy ammunition
In your camp
You got some punch, pizzazz
Yahoo, and how
All you gotta do
Is rub that lamp
And then I'll say
Mister, man
What's your name?
Whatever
What will Your pleasure be?
Let me take your order
I'll jot it down
You ain't never had
A friend like me
Life is your restaurant
And I'm your maitre d'
Come whisper to me
Whatever it is you want
You ain't never had
A friend like me
We pride ourselves
On service
You the boss
The king, the shah
Say what you wish
It's yours, true dish
How about
A little more baklava?
...
You ain't never had
A friend like me...
