Add a CommentI don't regret reading this, and I wouldn't recommend to anyone that she not read it. It is entertaining. Nevertheless, I get the sense that it's entertainment that's been churned out, with cookie-cutter characters (yum...cookies!), a predictable plot, and not much thought put into the science. It's almost as if Mr. Shirley is being paid by the word. It takes soooooo long for the protagonists to put 2 and 2 together. But all that aside, it's a fun, entertaining sci-fi/horror read.
