A wonderful classic movie. I liked the songs and storyline, but I loved the dancing. Such talented actors and actresses.

Singin’ in the Rain (1952) was a great movie! I never thought that I would even enjoy a musical, but the film was hilarious and I enjoyed it so much! The movie showed how competitive the major film companies were in this era, and how willing they were to take risks in order to become the best of the best. Similarly, Singin’ in the Rain showed how stars would be obliged to make films with one production company for a long period of time. For instance, Kathy (one of the main characters) was in a difficult position when she realized she was in a five-year contract with Monumental, meaning she would be forced to sing for antagonist "Lina Lamont". I would certainly recommend this film to everyone. It really goes into depth of how films were made in the past, and I don't think people appreciate how difficult it is to make successful films nowadays. (*Favorite movie quote*) - "Whadda ya think I am? Dumb? - Or, something!?"

In 1951's "Singin' In The Rain" actress Jean Hagen is absolutely priceless as Lena Lamont, the seductive superstar of silent films. Hagen's "Lena" was a prime example of an actress whose career was, most surely, destined for the ax once "Talkies" took over in 1927.

All-In-all - "Singin' In The Rain" ranks right up there as being one of the greatest and most entertaining Hollywood Musicals of all-time. Even if "musicals" aren't your thing, you'll find it near impossible not to enjoy this high-energy, non-stop spectacle of song, dance, and comedy.

"Singin' In The Rain" is a fond recreation of that bygone movie-making era when the flourishing Hollywood film industry was making its shaky transition into the greatest sensation of all - Talking pictures.

My favourite musical number was "Broadway Melody".

Singin' In The Rain is a true classic movie and I continue to hope all of the people in the world appreciate it along with me. The songs are a delight and hopefully make the people watching the movie happy and comfortable.

Beats An American In Paris, in my opinion, mostly because of the entertaining dialogues AND the awesome songs and tap dancing. This one was probably one of the the most physically demanding production for all of the cast members. I really liked O’Connor’s Make Em Laugh and Moses Supposes with Gene Kelly. All the energy keeps me watching and laughing. I liked how there were no tragedies unlike The Fault In Our Stars or The Hungergames Series. I would choose Singin’ In the Rain over young adult novel movies if I had to. I still don’t think the YA movies are bad, though.

What a wonderful movie! “Singin’ in The Rain” is one of the most famous musicals of all time. It is truly a timeless classic that everyone will enjoy. It has unforgettable tunes such as, “Fit as a Fiddle,” “Make ‘Em Laugh,” “Moses,” “Would You?,” and the fantastic title tune “Singin’ in the Rain.”

All I do is dream of you the whole night through
With the dawn, I still go on dreaming of you
You're every thought, you're everything
You're every song I ever sing
Summer, Winter, Autumn, and Spring
And were there more than twenty-four hours a day
They'd be spent in sweet content dreaming away
When skies are gray when skies are blue
Morning, noon and night time too
All I do the whole day through is dream of you
All I do is dream of you the whole night thru
With the dawn, I still go on and dream of you
You're every thought, you're every thing,
You're every song I ever sing
Summer, Winter, Autumn, and Spring
And were there more than twenty-four hours a day
They'd be spent in sweet content dreaming away
When skies are gray, when skies are blue
Morning, noon and night time too

Don is a famous Actor, who meets Kathy, a want-to-be actress. Their relationship is threatened by Leena, Don's jealous co-star. This boy-gets-girl drama is all set to a fantastic music score.
