This is a very sad but well written book. It is about a girl, named Lucinda who has a hard relationship with her father. Once, they were the closest people in the world. But as time past, her father had to fight his own wars, and his own troubles. He is always away, and left her and her mother alone. Lucinda never knew where to find him, but she knew that he had once fought in the war, and thinks that there is a connection between the war and how her father is from that.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes reading about other people's lives.
