Some friends and I used this to have a class together in our free time. It was awesome! The only thing I didn't like is that some of the book is dedicated to equipment that amateurs aren't going to be using. You can just skip those parts, though. The storytelling lessons are so useful! Whether you are interested in underground and alternative comics, superheroes, or manga, this is a must-have cartooning guide, up there in terms of instruction with Will Eisner and Scott MCcloud, who even praised this himself. It is modelled after a 15-week college semester, complete with assignments, although it is also designed for Ronin(Independent) learners, and Nomad (groups of independent) learners.

Extremely laid out approach to creating stories. Detailed and step by step.
