"Rising sous-chef Kelly Matlock is burned out, and she's retreated to her sister Jillian's house in Virgin River to rest and reevaluate. Digging in Jill's garden may have its charm, but it's a far cry from the excitement of a San Francisco restaurant. Kelly's starting to feel unmotivated...until she meets Lief Holbrook. The widower looks more like a lumberjack and a sophisticated screenwriter--a combination Kelly finds irresistible. Less appealing is Lief's rebellious stepdaughter, Courtney. Kelly's never fallen for a guy with a serious baggage, but some things are worth fighting for" --Cover, p. 4.

I loved this book even more than it's predecessor! I did find the love affair was a bit rushed in the beginning but great story overall. Quick, easy read.

The Virgin River Series is one the best I've ever read. Read them in order.
