This book challenges you to consider what it really means to call yourself a Christian. With a direct frankness that you're not likely to hear in Sunday school class, the author invites you to take an honest look at your relationship with Jesus. His call to follow may seem radical to us, but Jesus desires it for every believer. --from back cover.

I really enjoyed this book. It helped me to understand the Christians who are fans. Since becoming a believer was something I chose as an adult, I never understood things like the verse-offs or why it was so important to try to out-shine other believers on the details of Jesus's life or the Bible. When the author put it into terms of sports fans memorizing statistics, it clicked. I love the concept of this book and how the author uses real-life examples of people who are "not a fan".

"Jesus knew that when following Him became about following the rules, people end up walking away from both."

This book provides many good reminders for Christians looking to be real with themselves about their faith. I thought it seemed heavy on the "what you're all doing wrong" rhetoric at times.

Phenomenal Read! Important for those who are "all in" for Jesus Christ!
