The Vow is the heart wrenching story of two people madly in love who are forced apart due to tragedy. When newlyweds, actors Channing Tatum (Leo) and Rachel McAdams (Paige), are driving home, they crash their car causing severe injuries for both. Paige is then put into a coma, and when she wakes up she has no memory of her husband Leo, at all. Paige is then left trying to piece together her memory and identity while Leo fights to win her love once again. This movie brings audiences through the highs and lows of love and questions what it means to be married. Whether you believe that love is something predetermined by fate or just a random fluke, this movie will tug on your heart strings and make you feel again.

After a car accident, Paige (Rachel McAdams) has lost her memories of the past few years and thus does not recognize her husband, Leo (Channing Tatum). In her mind, she is still engaged to her former fiancé Jeremy, and she is still studying law at University. Despite her memory loss, Leo is determined to make his wife fall in love with him once again. This is my favorite romantic comedy, and it's mainly because of its ingenious plot. Every romance movie can be summed up in a sentence: girl meets boy, they fall in love, they deal with some problems, and then everything is back to normal. The problem with these generic romance movies is that they do not reflect a true relationship. Fortunately, The Vow is completely different.

Just ok. Disappointed as this movie is based on a couple who FAITH in God was the emphasis in the book. NO mention of faith or God whatsoever in this movie. Slow and just, well, disappointing. I'm glad I didn't waste $ to see this.

Dull & mechanical mainstream movie. From the perky girl with bad highlights and an apparent brain injury with a set of phony and insecure parents, to the frequently shirtless and buff clueless husband who seemed to adopt the flat-liner style of acting from Keanu Reeves.

I did not like it, very cheesy, actors do not play well and it could have been made much more interesting for such plot. I usually enjoy watching romantic movies, but this was quite bad.

I watched The Vow only because Rachel McAdams is in the cast. It isn't the greatest rom-com or whatever the category is, but it will entertain you.

The Vow - a young husband tries to win back his wife's love - after she is in a car accident and coma and does not remember the last five years of her life at all. Inspired by a true story.

The vow is a romantic love story that has a lot of bumps in the road. It’s about a couple that is about to do stuff in the back seat of a car when a truck slams into them, sends the girl (Rachel McAdams) through the windshield and makes her lose half of her memory. So the main guy (which is played by Channing Tatum) is trying to help her re-gain her memory because he loves her, and it goes pretty downhill from there until the end of the movie. They didn’t use a lot of distinguishing props in this movie, but the costumes showed us more of an insight to who the characters were and of course the social class barriers. They used the music to fit the mood, also she used music to help her get into her art work and to get her inspired. A wide majority of the camera movements or cinematography was close ups to the face or full view (full body) shots of the characters. The setting took place in Chicago Illinois, mostly either at their house, the hospital, her parent’s house, or at her art studio. Besides those there were only a few minor places that they went. It appears though the themes behind the whole movie are social class, don’t judge a book by its cover, and also never give up on true love. Overall I think that it was a wonderful movie, but her questioning if he was her husband had to be the weirdest question throughout the entire film, mostly because it was Channing Tatum though.

WOW! What an excellent movie. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys romance.Especially anyone who has been through a troubled relationship and knows what it is like to have unrequited love. This pulls at the heart strings. I found myself sobbing during parts and I'm a guy!
