While I don't disagree with the facts submitted by Ms. Collins, her overall thesis ignores the mortal crimes of the two Clintons (both Bill as president, and Hillary as chair of the Millennium Challenge Corporation, which helped to finance the overthrow of democratically elected populist of Honduras, Mr. Zelaya) and the presidency of Barack Obama (TPP, TAFTA, appointing an endless stream of Wall Street lobbyists and former bankers, and his ungodly Republican agenda). Yes, Republicans from Texas are bad, very bad, but it was Bill Clinton who killed the possibility of collective bargaining by making Arkansas a right-to-work state when he was their governor, and who signed, as president, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the Commodity Futures Modernization Act, the Telecommunications Act of 1996, appointed the vile Peter G. Peterson to the commission to " end welfare as we know it " and a host of other mortal crimes against the citizenry. (Oh yeah, and NAFTA, GATT and that pesky WTO Financial Services Agreement.) [And don't forget Texan Lyndon Johnson, who dramatically expanded the Vietnam War, his Operation Brother Sam, ending the financial transaction tax in 1966 (the tax on speculation in force since 1914) et cetera.]

Deeply disturbing insights into how Texas' disregard for the poor, the enviroment or the investments in education and training made by fellow Americians in other states is setting and defining the national agenda.
