I really loved this book! It created a huge realm and wonderful mysterious story that has all the makings of a sequel.

Really fun read -- well-paced for a graphic novel, some nice humor, and the art is really wonderful, especially the color palette. I'm looking forward to the sequel!

Already within the first volume, the world is well established, the Darkling realm is full of creatures, and the artist uses a beautiful palette of colours to distinguish it from the other realms. The political alliances are revealed, allies made, and a mysterious helper appears, all of which makes for a very exciting read. On top of this is a good sense of humour, and amusing characters. Seifer shows a great sense of what is right, and is quick to act on it.

Interesting storyline... Some of the reactions/punchlines made me feel like I was "watching" Pokemon though but I would recommend it.
