Add a Comment2nd book in the series. As with most series, it is probably better to read the 1st in the series (The Anatomy of Death) to get the backstory. The main characters are very likable and the author does a great job of showing what it might have like to be a woman doctor in London at that time. While there is a little bit of a romance going on, that isn't the main focus of the book. The mystery is so-so but fits in with the era and the settings.
