Hamilton’s Founding Fathers: History Has Its Eyes on You
In July 2008 Lin-Manuel Miranda took Ron Chernow's Alexander Hamilton on vacation (what a beach read!), and while reading, Miranda decided that the Founding Father's life story would make an excellent Broadway musical. After debuting the first song from the show at the White House and a sold-out run at the Public Theater in New York, Hamilton opened on Broadway on August 6, 2016. In the spring… (more)

There are no words to describe how wonderful this book is! I loved learning about LMM's process and development of 'Hamilton'. Now I watch the musical and so much of it gains an even deeper meaning to me after having read this book. So wonderful!
I highly recommend this if you are a fan of the Musical Hamilton. Lin's footnotes throughout the lyrics with interspersed vignettes about the cast, crew and creative team is engrossing and gives the show a whole new depth.
The chapter covering It's Quiet Up Town is heart breaking, thoughtful and makes you see the song in a new light.
Truly a great companion to the soundtrack, and it is aesthetically pleasing for any bibliophiles library.
I own the book, and I love it. It's full of photos, lyrics, and all sorts of cool information. 100% reccomend it.
Get again when have time to read carfully. CHockfull of interesting footnotes to every line of lyrics.
Although I have not seen the actual play 'Hamilton I have listened to all the music and am a fan of Lin-Manuel Miranda. This audiobook offered up much information about all the beginnings of the Broadway hit along with the people on stage and off. It connected me even deeper to this 21st century work of art. If you are a fan of the play you will probably enjoy this addition.

Got to see the Hamilton twice and I still cry during the show. As a Broadway geek, #ham is one of the best Broadway shows that I have seen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Listen to the soundtrack while reading this to REALLY get you in the Hamilton mood! (And to avoid FOMO of not getting tickets)
I've had this book for about one week and i've read it twice already! It's so good!!! There is so much info about the musical and making it, also about the actors. My favourite part wast the fact that Lin Manual Miranda has over 200 comments in the script. Soooooooo Good! I also loved the look of the book. those thick "torn" pages are the best. warning the book is HUGE! :)
