I'm not a sports person but enjoyed watching this movie on HD on Netflix before they took it off. Reminds me of Invictus (2009), but felt it was more warm and colourful. It put me into Brazil, and the history and how Pele rose despite the odds to fulfill his father's dreams, and show how an oppressed people's activity that the authorities tried to suppress ended up being the very thing that ultimately made Brazil win the world's cup. It is a story that was brilliantly told, and had amazing film-score interwoven in the story, and I really brought this to life with me. Didn't feel like a staged performance and the suspension of belief was better than Invictus where I could sit back and say "hey, I know these are actors making a representation" and watch it from a distance, but this one had a stronger spell and felt like I was watching the real game and I felt totally immersed in the movie. Great gem.
