Meet the Author: Rosy Crumpton

on August 3, 2026, 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Event description

Come meet Rosy Crumpton, an award-winning author, operational leader, and business owner, whose work bridges health-focused leadership, community engagement, and human-centered practice. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wingate University and brings more than 20 years of professional experience rooted in behavioral healthcare and behavior change.

In 2005, shortly after graduating from Wingate University, Rosy served as a Red Cross disaster relief volunteer in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. She returned to the Gulf Coast nearly two decades later to reflect on the people, places, and communities shaped by both the disaster and the long process of recovery. That experience informed her most recent book, Resilience, Vision, and Community: Hurricane Katrina 20 Years Later, which weaves photography, journal entries, and personal narrative to honor resilience and lived experience. In 2024, Rosy also became part of a national emergency responders’ mental health team, deploying as a wellness professional to support communities impacted by Hurricanes Milton and Helene.
